A STORY FROM MONA · WITH ITS SOUNDTRACK
Meet Mona’s rooftop story, then explore the songs it inspired.
A STORY FROM MONA
Some people think working as a monitor on asbestos-removal projects is the pits. But in New York, the work can take you to rooftops—above the city, breathing the fresh air of an early morning. This spring, I worked on one long project with many of those quiet starts. They inspired several songs, and those songs unexpectedly grew into a musical. I’m happy to share them with you. You may recognize someone you know in these songs—or even yourself. Enjoy listening. And if you have a story or an idea of your own, please share it with me. I’d love to hear it.
